Cosy Up with an Everhot Stove

Have you heard about Everhot’s new Electric Stoves? For the last year they’ve been gracing the likes of House & Garden magazine and the Financial Times’ How to Spend It. These beautiful, hand-built room heaters are quickly becoming the must have interiors upgrade, favoured by interior designers and homeowners alike.

Designed and built in Everhot’s Cotswolds factory – which just happens to be carbon negative thanks to its wealth of solar panels and the four rewilding sites surrounding it – Everhot Stoves are created from steel and cast iron, ensuring their longevity and durability in your home. They too work incredibly well with solar panels acting almost like a solar dump for excess energy production during the day when you still need a little extra warmth inside the house.

The Electric Stove was the first to launch. A unique room heater which features an oven inside big enough for casseroles and one pot wonders (see bottom right). Then came along the Electric Heater for those who just wanted the warmth without the cooking facility (see bottom left).

Everhot Stoves and Heaters are highly efficient 1.5kW room heaters running at around 800W an hour when up to full temperature. If your current electricity price is around the standard 24.50p per kWh then one of our Stoves or Heaters will cost you less than 20p per hour to run.
They are designed to be left on for long periods of time, so are best placed in a room that you are spending the day in – for example if you work from home they would fit neatly into a study or garden office. Or, alternatively, into a room where you need a little extra warmth like a conservatory, shepherd’s hut or annex. We describe it as a gentle warmth, as opposed to the more fierce heat you get from a wood burner. When you first turn the Stove on the heat will radiate through the stylish air vent on the top. After half an hour though the entire body of the Stove will be up to temperature and giving off warmth. After you turn it off it will stay warm for at least half an hour as well.

If you go for the Stove model, as opposed to the Heater model, you will also benefit from a 20-litre oven inside. This oven reaches up to 200 degrees when you have the Stove on full temperature. If you dial the temperature down halfway, then it becomes a simmering or slow cooking oven reaching around 100 degrees. Lots of our Everhot Stove owners regularly use their stoves for cooking, you can even fit a whole roast chicken inside! It’s perfect for baking jacket potatoes for lunch, warming some soup, or rustling up some biscuits for a treat. 3. The Everhot Heater can provide warmth wherever you want it

Both the Everhot Stove and the Heater are incredibly well built items from steel and cast iron. This does mean they are relatively heavy. However it is possible to move them from room to room, although we would recommend using two people where possible. The Stove weighs 50kg, whereas the Heater – without the oven – is a little less at 40kg. Therefore if you foresee wanting to move it from the lounge in the spring to the conservatory in the winter, for example, then you may be better choosing the Heater. This gives you more flexibility, especially if you have an outdoor office or garden room which you would like to move it to depending on the seasons.

From bright Teal and bold Tangerine Orange, to elegant Marine Blue and timeless Forest Green, both the Everhot Stove and Heater are available in all 20 Everhot cooker colours. As well as the newest Matt Black which is unique to just the Stove and Heater and isn’t available on the cookers. Many of our owners like to introduce the Stove as an accent colour to a room. Combining it with colours found in the room fabrics, like cushions or curtains. Alternatively, introduce a splash of colour to a room with our brightest colours including Fandango Pink and the ever popular Mustard Yellow which will bring a smile to your face everyday.

What’s wonderful about Everhot’s Stoves and Heaters is that they only need a 13 amp socket to work. Although we don’t advise placing them onto long pile carpet or under worktops, there really isn’t anywhere else you can’t have them. Our customers often use them for garden offices or outbuildings where central heating isn’t possible. Lots of people pop them into shepherd’s huts to keep them warm over the autumn and winter but also add a little extra heat during cooler summer’s evenings.

They’re also perfect for Airbnb or rental holiday homes. Rather than a woodburner which can be off-putting to paying guests not used to lighting fires or cleaning out ashes, the Stoves are incredibly easy to turn on and off and it doesn’t even matter if your guests do forget to turn it off when they pop out. They’ll just be toasty warm when they get back. No logs to buy, no mess and no chimney to sweep. Plus the oven inside is always a conversation starter!
