A Valentine’s Day Treat
Treat your partner this Valentine’s Day to a few easy, heartfelt bakes that show just how much you care. From simple breakfasts to sweet handmade gifts, these ideas are perfect for creating something special at home.
Heart-Shaped Toast & Eggs

A Valentine’s morning classic — easy, quick and adorable.
Use a heart-shaped biscuit cutter to cut the centre from a slice of bread. Toast both the bread and the cut-out on the simmer plate using Cookasheet, flipping after a few minutes. Crack an egg into the heart-shaped gap and cook until just set for a perfectly heart-shaped fried egg.
Heart Jammy Dodger Biscuits

You’ll need
- 300g plain flour
- 200g butter (room temperature)
- 100g sugar
- Raspberry or strawberry jam
For the buttercream
- 200g icing sugar
- 100g butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Equipment
- Large and small heart-shaped cutters
Cream the butter and sugar, then mix in the flour. Roll the dough to just under 1cm thick and cut out large hearts. Pair them up and cut a smaller heart from the centre of one biscuit in each pair.
Bake at 200°C for 12 minutes on the middle shelf until lightly golden. Cool completely.
Mix the buttercream ingredients. Spread buttercream onto the whole biscuit, add a small dollop of jam, then top with the cut-out biscuit. Finish with a dusting of icing sugar.

- 30g white chocolate chips
- 25g dried berry mix
Buttercream

- Splash of vanilla
Use foil inside cupcake cases to shape the batter into hearts. Cream butter and sugar, then mix in the egg and vanilla. Fold in the flour, chocolate chips and berries.
Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes on the middle shelf. Once cooled, pipe buttercream around the heart shape and decorate with sprinkles.
